The modernization of the 16-kilometre section of the 1st railway corridor between Kolín and Prague is co-financed from the European Blending Call program. In the whole section. The work includes replacement and improvement of the track superstructure and partly also substructure, the construction of new level crossings, platforms, bridges and culverts, noise barriers, overhead lines and safety equipment. The Velim, Poříčany, Cerhenice and Tatce stations will be also modernized.
The biggest benefit of the upgrade will be faster and smoother train operation. Subterra is mainly involved in the Poříčany station, where we construct tracks, build noise barriers and other buildings.
The project won the CEO award in the Railway Construction of the Year 2022 competition.
