The modernization of the almost 30-kilometre-long regional line under our leadership made it possible to increase the speed up to 160 km/h, which was previously characteristic only of transit railway corridors. The construction, which is linked to other sections, enabled faster, smoother and safer transport. In addition to the reconstruction of the railway substructure and superstructure and the construction of the overhead line, the project included the reconstruction of bridge crossings, culverts and other structures. Stations and stops were fitted with new platforms, lighting, information systems, and also some station buildings were renovated. The ETCS (European Train Control System) is part of the modern technological equipment as well.
