Railway Line Upgrade, Section Beroun – Králův Dvůr

The purpose of the upgrade of 5 kilometres long section was an increase of the speed on the railway line to a maximum of 160 km/h. A complete reconstruction of the Beroun railway station was also carried out. The upgrade consisted of a replacement and improvement of the track superstructure and substructure, and of an adjustment of platforms (including roofing). Underpasses were adjusted to provide an access for disabled passengers. Level crossings, bridges and culverts were refurbished or rebuilt. In addition, a safety and signalling equipment was modernized, a new information system and lighting installed and overhead lines were upgraded. CCTV system was installed ensuring passenger safety and noise barriers were constructed. We participated mainly in the reconstruction of the railyard and in the construction of platforms. Construction works had to be coordinated with heavy traffic.
