The new building of the State District Archive in Louny replaces unsuitable premises in the historical centre of the city. The depository has a capacity of approximately twenty ordinary kilometres of archives and contains a restoration workplace, a research hall and an administrative section. The archive is equipped with sliding shelves.
The load-bearing system of the building consists of a reinforced concrete structure, the facade cladding consists of prefabricated concrete panels, some flat roofs are green. The archive is heated by a heat pump connected to ground wells and has extensive technical equipment including an aerosol fire extinguishing system.
