Since May of this year, division 4 will renovate both the T. G. Masaryk Street, the main avenue of the city centre in Kladno, and the surrounding area. The construction, which will improve the quality of public space, includes new surfaces of the sidewalks and roads, planting trees and installation of water elements and street furniture. The project divided into three phases should be finished in September 2024.
On Thursday, April 7, a contract for modernization of the railway track Střelice – Zastávka u Brna in South Moravia was signed. The project led by division 3 consists mainly of the construction of the second track, overhead lines, and barrier-free platforms. In the 10-kilometer-long section also tracks, bridges and railway technologies will be restored, and noise barriers will be built. The construction should be finished at the end of the year 2024.
On Saturday, April 9, O2 Arena in Prague hosted the finals of the floorball tournament for secondary schools – the Subterra Cup. This year, 544 girls’ and boys’ teams took part, the best competed before the Superfinal for the original trophy and participation in a camp with the members of the national team. The programme also included an autograph session with famous athletes.
On Thursday, March 31, division 3 signed a contract for the construction of a tram track in Prague. The 2.3-kilometer-long section with five pairs of stops, which will connect Divoká Šárka with the housing estate Na Dědině, will significantly improve the public transport in the residential area. Division 3 is the main contractor. Also, division 1 had participated in the preparation of the commission, division 4 will be the subcontractor.
On Tuesday, April 5, a ceremonial breakthrough of the emergency gallery took place at the construction site of the Kramer road tunnel in German Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The representatives of investors, suppliers, and local government, as well as the tunneling crews, which had worked on the gallery, participated at the event. The 3.6-kilometer-long tunnel, a project by division 1 and BeMo Tunnelling, is expected to be completed next year.
At the end of March, a contract for optimization of the Čelákovice-Mstětice railway line in Central Bohemia was signed. The section, which is more than 6-kilometer long, will be upgraded for higher speed and safe operation. The construction includes two bypasses, the rest the track will be renovated. The Mstětice station will get a new platform with an underpass and also a technological part. Division 3 participates in the project; the main works will start next year.
The branch of the Municipal Library at Petřiny, Prague will reside in a new building, the construction of which will be led by division 2. The modern building designed by the studio monom will provide not only facilities for the readers and employees, but also premises for educational and cultural events. The library will have a multipurpose hall and a garden terrace. The building is expected to be completed in July 2023.
In February, the completed building of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Jan Evangelista Purkyně in Ústí nad Labem, which expands the capacity of an older building, was handed over. The Center for Materials, Mechanics and Technologies (CEMMTECH) contains lecture rooms, laboratories, and offices. The complete ventilation system had been supplied by division 4.
Division 2 is building the Malešický háj residential complex in Prague, consisting of five blocks of flats with more than hundred apartments. After the completion of the main structures and windows, interior plasters, drywall partitions and installations will follow, also the thermal insulation of the facade is being prepared. The project of the company Metrostav Development, in which also division 4 participates, is supposed to be completed at the end of this year.
