On Monday, June 20, two months after a ceremonial commencement of the construction, excavations of an access and ventilation gallery on the future metro D station started at Pankrác. In the excavated shaft, first of all a protective umbrella arch was drilled and then NATM excavations began. The construction of the first section Pankrác–Olbrachtova is led by division 5, other contractors are HOCHTIEF CZ, STRABAG, HOCHTIEF Infrastructure and Ed. Züblin.
On Thursday, June 2, the first Subterra Golf Cup took place, organized by division 2. Thirty players played on the course of Greensgate Golf & Leisure Resort in Dýšína near Pilsen, competing in two categories in the Stableford scoring system. The best golfers were awarded by the director of division 2 Petr Kajer.
On Thursday, May 12, the programmatic conference of the company Subterra took place in DOX+ centre in Prague. After the presentations by the General Director Ondřej Fuchs and Financial Director Pavel Zykán, three selected projects were introduced. The programme was concluded by awarding the best employees, including the announcement of the Personality of the Year 2021, which was won by the Production Manager of division 3 Tibor Trnovszký
Subterra has got a diesel locomotive which will be used to transport material and mechanics on railroad constructions. The engine CZ LOKO EffiShunter 1000, which is equipped with the European control system ETCS, was ceremoniously received from the producer by the representatives of the company at the end of April. The presentation of the locomotive in Jihlava also included a ride and a symbolic christening.
On Thursday, April 21, the long-awaited construction of Prague Metro D line was officially commenced at Pankrác. The foundation stone was tapped by both the representatives of the city of Prague and the representatives of the contractor, who is an international consortium led by Subterra. The first section Pankrác–Olbrachtova will be 1.2 kilometre long, the demanding construction is supposed to take seven years.
Since May of this year, division 4 will renovate both the T. G. Masaryk Street, the main avenue of the city centre in Kladno, and the surrounding area. The construction, which will improve the quality of public space, includes new surfaces of the sidewalks and roads, planting trees and installation of water elements and street furniture. The project divided into three phases should be finished in September 2024.
On Thursday, April 7, a contract for modernization of the railway track Střelice – Zastávka u Brna in South Moravia was signed. The project led by division 3 consists mainly of the construction of the second track, overhead lines, and barrier-free platforms. In the 10-kilometer-long section also tracks, bridges and railway technologies will be restored, and noise barriers will be built. The construction should be finished at the end of the year 2024.
On Saturday, April 9, O2 Arena in Prague hosted the finals of the floorball tournament for secondary schools – the Subterra Cup. This year, 544 girls’ and boys’ teams took part, the best competed before the Superfinal for the original trophy and participation in a camp with the members of the national team. The programme also included an autograph session with famous athletes.
On Thursday, March 31, division 3 signed a contract for the construction of a tram track in Prague. The 2.3-kilometer-long section with five pairs of stops, which will connect Divoká Šárka with the housing estate Na Dědině, will significantly improve the public transport in the residential area. Division 3 is the main contractor. Also, division 1 had participated in the preparation of the commission, division 4 will be the subcontractor.
