On Wednesday, December 6, the modernization of the Královo Pole train station in Brno was ceremonially launched. The station will get a new building, barrier-free platforms, extended underpass, and modernized tracks. Together with division 3, OHLA ŽS, FIRESTA-Fišer and TRAMO RAIL are involved in the project, which is due for completion in 2025.
More than a year and a half after the official start, the construction of the first section of the Prague Metro D, which is being led by division 5, has reached the breakthrough and all the construction sites of the Pankrác–Olbrachtova line are now connected. The ceremonial breakthrough from the interstation tunnel to the Olbrachtova station took place on Friday, December 1, the company Subterra was represented by its general director Ondřej Fuchs.
On Friday, November 10, representatives of division 2 signed a contract with the company Hospimed for the annexe of an office building in Prague, Žižkov. The four-storey building in Malešická street will be operationally connected with the company’s headquarters and will include, in addition to offices, medical equipment service area.
On Wednesday, November 1, a new branch of the Municipal Library in Prague, the construction of which had been led by division 2 since last March, was ceremoniously opened at Petřiny in Prague. The three-storey building with a garden, designed by the studio monom, offers not only space for readers and librarians, but also facilities for educational, cultural and social events. Director of division 2, Petr Kajer, cut the ribbon on behalf Subterra.
On Sunday, October 22, the operation of the Prague tram line Divoká Šárka – Dědina was ceremonially inaugurated. Divisions 3, 1 and 4 cooperated on the construction of the 2.3-kilometer-long section with five pairs of stops, which began last July. After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, which was attended by the commercial director Jiří Tesař, the public could ride the new route for the first time in contemporary and historic trams.
On Friday, October 13, the modernization of the Havířov train station, which is being carried out by the contractors led by division 3, was ceremonially launched. In addition to the railway yard and platforms, a four-kilometer-long section of the track will also be part of the project. The ceremony took place in front of a station building of great value from the late 1960s, which was recently converted into a sport hall. Jiří Tesař, commercial director, spoke on behalf of Subterra and tapped the rail.
On Monday, October 9, a contract was signed for the modernization of the railway station in Královo Pole, district of Brno. The contractor which includes, together with division 3, OHLA ŽS, FIRESTA-Fišer and TRAMO RAIL, will carry out the overall transformation of the station, including a new station building and the reconstruction of the railway yard together with platforms. The project should be completed in 2025.
Division 4 is taking part in the overall reconstruction of the department store Máj in Prague, which dates back to the 1970s, and since 2007 has been a cultural heritage site. The contract includes air conditioning, heating, cooling, sanitary installations, gas and stable fire extinguishing equipment. The routes on the 3rd and 4th floors are almost finished, most of the engine rooms are also equipped. In autumn, the technologies on the façade and roof will be installed.
The associated primary school for the Central Bohemian municipalities Přezletice, Podolanka and Jenštejn, called Panská pole, was inaugurated on September 4. The construction of the premises with two school buildings, gyms and a cafeteria had been led by division 2 since 2021; the technological equipment was supplied by division 4.The ceremony was attended by the director of division 2, Petr Kajer.
