Construction of Herrschaftsbuck Highway A44 in souhtern Germany has reached its final phase. In the middle of the last year, division 1 and BeMo Tunnelling finished concrete casting, laying of the road surface and painting of the lining. Now the technological equipment is being installed. The 480-meter-long twin-tube tunnel should be put into operation by the end of this year.
Last week, a contract for the electrification and higher capacity of a 14-kilometer railway line in northern Moravia was signed. The construction will feature division 3, which has also been working on the Uničov–Olomouc track on the same line since 2019. The project will bring a higher track speed of 100 km/h and includes a reconstruction of the track, technologies, and also stations and stops. The work should start in February and finish in June of 2023.
The ČEZ Ice Arena in Kladno is being reconstructed by division 2. The first phase of the project features adjustments of surrounding objects or thermal insulation of the restaurant part. In April, after the end of the hockey season, a reparation of the steel roof structure, including lighting and sound systems and also the replacement of the facade, will be started.
Last week, Division 4 signed a contract for the reparation of the construction and technological part of the Lochkovský and Komořanský Tunnels, located on the Prague Ringroad (Motorway D0). The project for ŘSD includes the replacement of the main ventilators, reparation of other installations, replacement of fire closures and adjustment of the road surface. The commission also features the project documentation.
On Wednesday, December 16, the section of the Hungarian M85 expressway between the cities of Csorna and Sopron, which is 51 kilometers long, was put into operation. The route features the Sopron bypass and connects Győr to the Austrian border. The daughter company Subterra – Raab has participated in 15-kilometer section of the road.
On Tuesday, December 8, the reparation of the 1st track in Kraľovany–Ľubochňa section in Central Slovakia was completed. The almost four-kilometer-long track in the Váh Valley is being modernized including the overhead line and safety equipment. Division 3 has been working on the reconstruction of the track substructure and superstructure. The project will continue after the winter break.
Division 2 has handed over the building of the Goethe-Institut in Prague after the overall reconstruction of the inside. The interiors of the art nouveau monument on the Masaryk Embankment, originally built in 1905, were rebuilt according to the original shape. Doors, floors and plasters were restored. The one-year work was realized in stages, with the institute in operation.
Division 1 and BeMo Tunneling are building the Kramer Tunnel, which will be a part of Garmisch-Partenkirchen highway bypass in the German Alps. Together with the tunnel, the ventilation shaft is being excavated, having extraordinary dimensions of 4.5 meters in diameter and 99 meters in depth. The bypass should be completed in 2023.
On Sunday, November 22, the Church of Christ the Saviour and its new community center were ceremonially opened in Prague, Barrandov. Division 4 also participated in the new building, realized by Metrostav, by providing utilities – ventilation, a central heating and cooling system including a heat pump, and electric installations.
