In the capital of Slovakia, Penta group is building a new generation hospital with a capacity of 400 beds. The facility designed by the studio Dutch Health Architects will offer modern equipment and an advanced information system. High-current installations that supply the most important circuits and devices, with above-standard fire resistance, are being delivered by Divison 4. The hospital should open in 2024.
A company of contractors led by division 3 is carrying out the upgrade of a 15-kilometer long section of the railway track between Lysá nad Labem and Prague. In various parts of the construction, preparations for a closure are being realized, and also foundations for the overhead line supports and other railway objects are being built. The large optimization should be finalized in 2024.
Last week, a contract for the renovation of local communications in Slivenec, Prague, was signed, featuring division 4. The complete reconstruction of sections of four streets includes building a surface water drain, underground utilities relocation, surfaces, vegetation, and other adjustments. Works should start in April and will last almost four years.
On Monday, March 22, the reconstruction of a housing block in Prague-Žižkov was launched by the handover of the building site. The general contractor is division 2, on behalf of which director Petr Kajer signed the protocol. After that, representatives of the investor, the Prague 3 Municipal District, handed over the keys to commercial units and other spaces that will get a new appearance in one year, together with the facade and the roof.
For one year and a half, contractors led by division 3 have been working on the modernization and electrification of the 30-kilometer regional railway line between Uničov and Olomouc. This year, division 3 is reconstructing the track superstructure in a 10-kilometer long section. Works are carrying on after a winter break since the start of March. The construction part of the project should be finished by the end this year.
Division 4 will be participating in the renovation of lighting and high-current installations in the Prague Metro’s A line, between the stations Náměstí Míru and Želivského. The contract also features the finalizing project documentation after a call from the investor, the Prague Public Transit Company. The whole project will be realized for almost two years.
On Wednesday, March 10, excavations for the revitalization of a water line crossing under the Elbe River in Obříství were started, featuring division 1. The microtunnelling machine, 1.3 meters in diameter, was lowered and set into the entry pit on the right bank. The space between piping and guards will be filled with a mineral mixture, and each of two water main arms will be almost 142 meters long.
Division 2 is carrying out the general renovation of the baroque Clam-Gallas Palace on Mariánské Square in Prague. After the completion of rough works and reparations, the ceiling and wall frescos and other artistic and building elements are being restored. The project should be finished in 2022, after which the palace will be opened to the public a serve as exposition and cultural space.
Another educational institution with which Subterra concluded a long-tem partnership agreement is the Secondary Technical School and Higher Professional School in Kladno. The subject of the collaboration will be electrotechnics. Division 4 will offer its knowledge in field experience, trainings, or temporary jobs, and also by lectures and excursions.
