On Monday, August 2, a contract for the complete reconstruction of a more than 9-kilometer track on the 1st railway corridor – led by divison 3 – was signed. Apart from the renovation of the track, railway stops and bridges, the project includes also the repair of four Blanenská tunnels, to be carried out by division 1. The construction should start in October and be completed in less than two years.
In Stockholm, the Swedish daughter company SBT Sverige works on the secondary lining of the Skärholmen highway tunnel. After the aplication of the membrane, the construction carries on by installing of the prefabricated wall elements made of reinforced concrete. The 6-ton panels that cover a maintenance corridor on one side are set by a vacuum lifter.
On Tuesday, June 29, Prague Public Transit Company signed a contract for the construction of the first section of metro D. Subterra leads the international consortium, consisting of HOCHTIEF CZ, STRABAG, HOCHTIEF Infrastructure and Ed. Züblin. The 1.2-kilometre-long section between Pankrác and Olbrachtova stations includes the interchange from C line and is the most demanding part of the whole project.
On Wednesday, June 30, the construction of the associated school for the villages Přezletice, Podolanka and Jenštejn began with public ceremony by laying the foundation stone in Přezletice. The construction of two school buildings, a dining hall and sport facilities is being led by division 2; also, division 4 participates in the project. At the ceremony, division 2 was represented by the director Peter Kajer.
On Wednesday, June 23, the ceremony concluding reconstruction of a more than 5-kilometer long section of the 3rd railway corridor took place in Beroun, featuring the Minister of Transport and other guests. The project started in year 2016 included the general reconstruction of Beroun station. Division 3 participated in the upgrade, represented by director Miroslav Kadlec at the event.
Since May, division 4 participates in the construction of the utility network for Hybernská Hotel in Prague. The project of the company Penta is a part of the development in the neighbourhood of Masaryk Railway Station. The contract covers the water supply, sewage system and gas main including the securing of the foundation pit. The works should be completed this December.
The Swedish daughter company SBT Sverige carries on the work on the secondary lining of the Skärholmen highway tunnel in Stockholm. The main water impermeable layer is the reinforced membrane from toughened polyethylen that is installed to anchors and welded, with a total area of 270 thousands square meters. In the traffic space, the membrane will be covered by sprayed concrete.
On Wednesday, June 16, companies led by division 2 signed a contract for the construction of the primary school in Přezletice in Central Bohemia. A complex composed of two educational buildings and a dining hall will serve as a primary school for Přezletice, Podolanka and Jenštejn. Also division 4 will participate in the project.
On Wednesday, June 9, part of phase IV of the M85 expressway in northwest Hungary was ceremonially opened. The 2.5-kilometer long section is bounded by the Balf Junction. The daughter company Subterra – Raab is carrying on the work on the remaining part of phase IV by connecting both the city of Sopron and also on subsequent phase V.
