The annexe of the town hall in Brandýs nad Labem was completed by the ceremonial handover on Thursday, September 23. The structure, designed by Ehl & Koumar architekti, had been built by division 2 since May 2020. The event attended by representatives of the town and the team of division 2, including the director Petr Kajer, took place in the basement with historic vaults.
From last April, division 1 has been casting the secondary lining of the Skärholmen highway tunnel in the section under Mälaren Lake. Two 40-meter-long tubes with an exceptional thickness of the structures belong to the most complicated parts of the construction that is being carried out by the Swedish daughter company SBT Sverige AB since 2017.
On Friday, September 3, division 4 obtained a contract for the reconstruction of a sewerage in Prague-Suchdol. Almost 350 meters of pipes will be installed in an open cut, about 60 meters will be bored. The construction also includes the interconnection of rainwater drainage system and building of 12 access chambers along with other structures. The project is expected to be finished in 25 weeks from the handover of the construction site.
Division 4 will participate in the construction of the office buildings of the company Prague CBD from the group Penta Real Estate, which are a part of the development in the vicinity of Masaryk Railway Station in Prague. In the multipurpose buildings Masaryčka, division 4 will carry out sanitary and gas installations. The construction of both buildings started last February and their completion is planned for the first half of the year 2023.
Since May, division 4 has been participating in the construction of the utility network for a hotel from the chain Motel One. The project of the company CBD Hybernská will occupy the triangular site between Masaryk Railway Station and the crossroad U Bulhara. The construction of the water supply, sewage system and gas main including the foundation pit is accompanied by large archaeological finds.
Since the beginning of June, division 4 has been leading the reconstruction of the Lochkovský and Komořanský tunnels on the Prague Ring Road. The project includes new technological equipment, mainly ventilation. In total, 42 jet fans are being installed. The work is limited to weekend closures and progress by individual tubes, it should be finished in November.
Division 2 continues the overall rebuilding of the Centre of technical-economic professional training Českobrodská in Prague-Hrdlořezy to an intelligent, energetically self-sufficient building. Now, facades of battens and fibre-cement boards are being mounted, and also solar panels on the south facade and green roofs. Works are getting on also inside. The building should be completed in the beginning of next year.
The construction of the Žabovřeská tram tunnel, a part of the Great Ring Road in Brno, reached its breakthrough on Thursday, August 19. The event was attended by representatives of the city, Road and Motorway Directorate (ŘSD) and also division 1 that has excavated the tunnel in the hillside of Wilson Forest since the beginning of May. At present concrete casting of the secondary lining continues, the construction should be completed in February 2022.
Overall modernization and electrification of the 30-kilometer regional railway line between Uničov and Olomouc is completed in terms of the construction itself, after two years since its commencement. Division 3, the leader of this large project, has worked in various sections namely on the reconstruction of tracks, railroad crossings and platforms and other parts of stops. The closure will end on Wednesday, September 8.
