Works on the secondary lining of the Skärholmen highway tunnel, built by daughter company SBT Sverige AB, continue by the final layer. The surface of the ceiling is made of concrete sprayed onto an insulation membrane and a steel reinforcement. The mixture with the admixture of polypropylene fibers is applied in three layers, the total thickness of concrete is 120 millimeters.
On Friday, November 12, students of the Secondary Technical School of Civil Engineering in Kladno visited the local ice rink whose reconstruction has been done by division 2 since the beginning of this year. The excursion focused especially on the most exacting part of the project, the installation of the new roof structure. The main steel tie beams weighing 22 tons have already been placed and the works continue by interconnecting them.
The construction of the Kramer Tunnel in German Garmisch-Partenkirchen reached the breakthrough of the main tube on Wednesday, October 27. Already since September, the concreting of the final lining is being carried out. There are more than 300 meters left to the breakthrough of the emergency gallery. The 3.6-kilometer-long tunnel of the north-western bypass of the Alpine resort is constructed by division 1 and BeMo Tunnelling, the project should be completed in 2023.
On Thursday, October 21, the results of the 15th competition for the Best Construction of the Moravian-Silesian Region 2020 were ceremoniously announced. The main prize in its category was awarded to the reconstruction of the railway line Český Těšín – Dětmarovice done in the years from 2017 to 2020 with the participation of division 3. The almost 21-kilometer-long section of the 3rd railway corridor was reconstructed for the maximum speed of 160 km/h.
On Thursday, October 21, officially started – at the train station in Adamov – the reconstruction of the Brno – Maloměřice – Adamov railway line by tapping the train track. The ceremony united three projects that will have in common a closure for approximately one year. Division 1 will also participate in the reconstruction of the 9-kilometer-long section, led by division 3. The business director Jiří Tesař spoke on behalf of the group of contractors.
In September, division 1 finished its works on the Milochov Tunnel on the Púchov – Považská Teplá railway line. After the secondary lining of the 1 861-meter-long tube and 260-meter-long emergency exit, sidewalks and other parts of the tunnel were concreted and also landscaping of all the portals was completed. Division 3, which coordinates the construction, continues to participate in the project, as well as division 4, which supplies part of the technological equipment.
The construction of the Žabovřeská tram tunnel on the Great Ring Road of Brno continues. Division 1 is now finishing the concreting of the secondary lining of the cut-and-covered part at the northern portal, afterwards, the lining of the 335-meter-long bored section will be carried out from the southern portal. The completion of the tunnel is planned for next February.
Subterra has become the main sponsor of a floorball tournament for secondary schools. In one of the biggest sport events of this kind in Czechia, hundreds of girls’ and boys’ teams will participate and can advance from the district rounds to the finals to compete for a cup – taking place in April during the Superfinal of floorball in Prague.
Since the middle of last year, division 3 has been participating in the modernization of the 16-kilometer-long section of the 1st railway corridor between Kolín and Prague. The reconstruction of the tracks in the station Poříčany, where two switch points were installed in September at the Pečky throat for the speed of 130 km/h, belongs to the main works.
