Breakthrough of the Opevnění Motorway Tunnel

On Tuesday, July 7, exactly half a year after the excavation began, the left tube of the Opevnění Tunnel on the D11 motorway was broken through. The project, carried out by division 1 and Metrostav TBR, is located on the outskirts of Trutnov, near Mrtvé Lake. The excavated section is 444 meters long; as of the breakthrough, approximately 90 percent of it had been completed. The total length of the Opevnění Tunnel will be 492 meters.
