The construction of "Radlická radiála" will be an important road for greater Prague and has a wider regional importance. The construction of this road is preceded by a comprehensive engineering-geological survey. About half of the 5.5-kilometer route connecting the Prague and City ring road will go underground. We excavated an exploration gallery approximately 850 long in the alignment of the final road tunnel. This was followed by the excavation of a 180 metres long side gallery into the southern tube. The gallery begins with a dredging shaft in Zlíchov and passes through a geologically complicated area of the Ctirad natural monument, where karst phenomena occur. A special machine assembly for a small profile was deployed on the NRTM excavation. The project also included the management and maintenance of the galleries.
