On Friday, November 25, the optimization of Čelákovice-Mstětice railway track was officially launched at Mstětice railway station. Division 3 participates in the upgrade of more than a 6-kilometer-long track including two realignments and the Mstětice station, which are to be completed in 2025. The ceremony with the tapping of the rail was attended by the business director Jiří Tesař.
The Railway Transport Route 2022 conference organized by the Railway Administration took place in Olomouc from 14 to 16 November. Subterra belongs to the main traditional partners of the event and also presented itself with a stand, where it was represented by division 3. At the conference, Radim Wrana had a presentation on machinery for railway constructions.
On Thursday, October 27, another excursion for students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the CTU took place at one of the construction sites of the first section of the Prague metro line D Pankrác–Olbrachtova. Two groups visited the premises of the future metro, the excavation of which, following a geological survey, was started by division 5 in June this year.
On Thursday, October 13, the results of the Construction of the Year 2022 competition were announced in Prague. Both nominated projects carried out in Prague by division 2 received two awards. The renovation of the Clam-Gallas Palace got the title Construction of the Year 2022 and also won the CNN Prima News Public Choice Award. The rebuilding of the Českobrodská secondary school received the Mayor of the capital city Prague Award and the Main Media Partner Award from Stavebnictví magazine.
On Tuesday, October 4, the new building of the State District Archive in Louny was ceremonially opened. The modern structure contains a depository, a restoration workplace, a research hall and also an administrative section. Division 2, whose director Petr Kajer attended the ceremony, was involved in the construction, which was carried out from February 2020 to January 2022. The technical equipment was supplied by division 4.
Once again, the popular Subterra Open Weekend organized by the association Cesta za snem took place from September 16 to 18 at the Poslův Mlýn recreation center in Doksy. The program prepared for both able-bodied and disabled people of all generations offered competitions, games and many other sport and social activities at eight thematic stands.
After one and a half years of reconstruction, the ČEZ Ice Rink in Kladno was opened on Friday, September 16. The event starting the first game of the hockey Extraliga featured many personalities, led by Jaromír Jágr who received s symbolic key to the stadium. The construction realized by division 2 with a help of division 4 brought mainly the new roof and the facade, but also modern utilities.
On Tuesday, September 6, the reconstructed Clam-Gallas Palace on Mariánské Square in Prague was opened to the public. Division 2 had been doing the reconstruction of the large baroque building with many artistic elements since the year 2018, the palace will be used for an exhibition about the Baroque and for cultural and social events. The company Subterra was represented at the ceremony by its general director Ondřej Fuchs.
In June, division 2 completed the overall remodelling of the Českobrodská secondary school in Prague to an intelligent, energetically self-sufficient building. The structure uses sustainable materials and advanced technologies which conserve natural resources and provide healthy environment for education and other activities. The building is now competing for votes in the finals of Adapterra Awards which is a showcase of projects reacting to climatic changes.
