The overall reconstruction of the Kladno winter stadium, which was opened in 1949, consisted mainly of replacing the roof and the perimeter shell. The roof was taken off and replaced by a steel structure, the main elements of which are arch trusses weighing 22 tonnes. Some reinforced concrete parts of the structure had to be strengthened. The new façade cladding consists of steel slats in three colors; other parts of the building were also repaired and insulated. The project also covered the technical equipment, especially electrical installations including lighting, and air-conditioning system equipped with heat recovery. The Kladno stadium also received a new sound system and an indoor led cube.
