Modernization and Electrification of Railway Line between Šakvice and Hustopeče u Brna

The purpose of the modernization of the single track regional line was to increase the speed up to 90 km/h.  This local line connects to the main railway line Brno–Břeclav. The main works included the electrification of the seven kilometres railway line and the installation of a new safety and communication equipment and other technologies.

We participated in the replacement and improvement of the track superstructure and substructure including the changes to the horizontal and vertical alignment. These works led to the changes in the railway crossings, retaining walls, culverts and in drainage. The project also included modernization of the Šakvice and Hustopeče Stations. In Šakvice, the change to the rail yard including the construction of a new island platform and an underpass was made. Two platforms were also constructed at Hustopeče station.
